Sherilyn Jones, Business Owner and the Artist behind Post Doodle, LLC is driven by her passion for art and design. She has recently crafted the persona of "Sherilyn Doodlez," a moniker that not only embodies her artistic identity, but also captures the very essence of her creative spirit. She extends her illustration talents to support authors and businesses, crafting children's books for others, compelling logos and creative design collateral. Her dedication to effective visual communication underscores her commitment to enhancing the success of her clients through her business Post Doodle.
In 2010, Sherilyn created a Christian cartoon series initially known as "Can't Keep Up With The Joneses." This cartoon, which began as a webcomic, underwent various stages of development as she experimented with the creative process.
During this journey, Sherilyn was a feature cover story in the Dallas Elite News April 2012.
In 2013, Sherilyn achieved another milestone when she created a comic strip featuring her own characters alongside those inspired by the Dallas Mavericks players. When she shared this creation on social media, it garnered attention, leading to a significant opportunity. Sherilyn was invited to contribute to the Dallas Mavericks social media outlets with a comic strip titled "Lil Mavs."
In 2015, she took a bold step by releasing a children's book titled "Created To Be." This venture showcased Sherilyn's versatility as a storyteller, expanding her creative portfolio beyond the cartoon series. As she explored more into the development of the cartoon, Sherilyn decided to change its name to "J1ONES" in 2018. Her most recent release is a comic book titled "J1ONES: 2 Minute Warning," marking the first installment in the series. Anticipated in 2024 is the release of the second comic book, "Shot Clock."
After learning the ropes of the publishing world, Sherilyn worked hard to shape her cartoon's direction. She wanted to create a story that lets readers enjoy being Christian in their everyday lives while keeping God first and integrating their faith with a range of other interests.
